WHAT IT’S FOR

Radiography (X-ray) is a diagnostic test that studies a skeletal segment (hand, wrist, elbow, etc.)
or a district (chest, abdomen) through the use of type X electromagnetic radiation.

PREPARATION

Preparation is required only in case an X-ray (RX) with contrast method (MDC) is required,
in this case the patient will have to go to the facility with the creatinine test carried out in the last 30 days and fasted for at least 6 hours.

RISKS

The risk of developing cancer from radiation exposure is generally low and depends on at least three factors:
l radiation dose
l age of exposure
l sex of the subject
The overall risk of cancer increases with the dose per test and the frequency of tests you undergo.
