WHAT IT’S FOR

Ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic method which, using ultrasound (sound waves), allows you to visualize organs, glands,blood vessels, subcutaneous structures, muscle and tendon structures in numerous parts of the body.
Ultrasound scans are widely used for the study of the neck (thyroid, lymph nodes), abdomen (liver, kidneys, spleen,
pancreas, etc.), the pelvis (bladder, uterus, ovaries, prostate), veins and arteries (carotids, aorta, etc.), the muscular system
(muscles, tendons, ligaments).

HOW TO DO IT

During the ultrasound scan, the area to be examined is moistened with a special, non-toxic gel,
which allows for better transmission of ultrasound through the human body.
the specialist slides a probe lubricated with a water-based gel over the area of ​​the body to be investigated, without any pain, for a duration of about 15 minutes.
